Please read all of the following guidelines and terms carefully before submission.

How to submit

You can submit your link by sending us an e-mail at

Your e-mail address should belong to the same domain as the links, or at a minimum, to a verifiable, non-generic address.
You must provide your name with the submission.

Who should submit

Links submission and inclusion on the Vadlo index are free for all academic and commercial organizations.
You should submit only your links, or the links for which you have an authority to submit to a search engine. For practical reasons, Vadlo will not be fussy about this if the submitted links belong to an academic organization, but if the links belong to an organization with commercial interests, it has to be submitted by an authorized person. Vadlo deems journals, book publishers, and websites catering to the scientific community as organizations with commercial interests.

What to submit

Vadlo accepts only the links that fit into at least one of the five search categories currently offered by Vadlo. Links must lead to a content relevant to biology research.
If you have many links, please provide only one link to the common folder. For example: http://www.xyz.edu/xyzlab/labmethods/. Vadlo will crawl all documents within that folder.
If you have many links but not in one or two web-folders, or if your folders contain many other types of documents, you can send all relevant links by attaching an Excel spreadsheet with your e-mail.
Vadlo will automatically assign categories, source and a customized title if necessary. You do not have to provide these.
Webpages containing a collection of third-party links should not be submitted, as they overwhelm our ranking algorithm and tend to contain many dead links.
Currently, Vadlo accepts links to the material written in English language or those with English-like characters.
Vadlo may not index links starting with ftp and https. Only http:// (http://www..).
For commercial products: to maintain the sanctity of Vadlo categories, we do not index product brochures, sales material, package inserts, MSDS, product reviews etc. Only product manuals and guides containing a real protocol, technical notes, operational instructions, or troubleshooting should be submitted.
Please only submit links to free online material. The links that require users to pay a fee, subscribe, or go through a registration process before using the material are generally not included on the Vadlo index.
